Mandala Malta formed in March 2003 to play the annual 'Music Marathon' at BJ's night club.  For most of the audience, it was the first time they'd heard live 'ethnic ambient' music and their feedback was so encouraging, that the band stuck together and developed their unique sound.  That winter, they got busy at the Mandala Studios under the whatchful eye of legendary record producer Dave Goodman and in the spring, they gave birth to their first album which recieved rave reviews in the UK.  The band played at the 2004 Glastonbury festival along side Paul McCartney, James Brown and Oasis (to name a few) and made quite an impact with their 'psychedelic ambient rap' music.  They are currently working on a new album and making videos in between gigs.
